Default Where do you live?

We have so many lovely new members on the forum I thought it would be nice to get to know each other a little.
So how about we start with which city or town do you live in? What's the best thing about living there?

I'm from Perth, born and bred. I'm a south of the river gal- in Perth it is a bit of a thing which side of the river do you live on.
The thing that is best for us about living in Perth is family (I have to say that my mother is a member of this forum).

Your turn.

I live in Brisbane, lived here most of my life. Did a stint (not jail time) in Sydney for a few years when I was a kid.
The best thing about living here is probably the weather. And where I live, it's a 30min drive to the Sunshine coast and the Gold coast.

I'm in North Manly (Sydney)...and thrilled to be back in Oz after spending the past 4+ years in the US (where I was raised). Whilst I've also lived in inner city Sydney, I just really love living on the Northern Beaches - so close to the city and yet feeling really far away. That said, my hubby and I look forward to moving up to the Sunshine Coast as soon as we can swing it!

Born and bred Hobartian......
Tasmania is a beautiful place and we often do see all 4 seasons in one day.
And contrary to popular belief we do not have 2 heads!!!!

We live in a suburb of Hobart on the Eastern S**** and we are about 20minutes out of Hobart.

My parents are both Tasmanian born and bred as is my hubby

We have some lovely history here in Tasmania and I am planning on learning some more in the months to come.....

Love the Sunshine Coast- how amazing would it be to live there.
Tasmania is on our list of places to visit without the child- all that history & those antique stores don't appeal to the child. But they are our idea of a great holiday.

A proud Bris-vegan here!

There is a very healthy northside/southside rivalry in Brisbane too. I am happy to say I am a northsider. We have recently moved a little further out than we're used to, but the surroundings are so beautiful, that I don't mind the extra 10/15 minute drive.

I have lived in a couple of other towns, once when I was little, with my family, and once more recently which was such a disaster that we no longer discuss it. Whilst I will not rule out moving house, I will NEVER leave Brisbane again. I love my city!

I live in Sydney and I like it. I have been to all other Major Cities (except Hobart) in Australia and all have their own good and bad factors! But I still like Sydney the most.

I was born in Melbourne and living in Melbourne but I grew up on the Croatian coast. I live in the south eastern suburbs and I can't imagine living anywhere else. I love visiting other places but Melbourne is my home
