Default Traditional Vs Modern glass jars

I am after some BIG glass jars to keep on our island benchtop... Should I go with something modern or traditional? I like both but am paranoid that the traditional ones might not look right in our kitchen. What do you think?

Personally I like modern, but I think you can do either. I guess it depends what the rest of your furniture and appliances look like. If it is square, go modern, if it is curvy go traditional

I voted traditional. These are the ones you like so I say go for them as you will always like them. I think you can mix traditional and modern together successfully.

I agree you can do either but I would choose traditional ones. I think your place will look great if you keep most of it very contemporary and then throw in the odd traditional item - like these and some of those iconic chairs.

I voted traditional, but I love them (and have far too many in my home!). I think they would look fabulous with something more modern in them, but I chop and change what I have in mine often to either change accent colours, or depending on the season (Christmas, Easter etc).

3 large different sized ones grouped together would look spectacular on your bench!

Traditional (or apothecary jars) make it look that little bit more elegant and feminine. I found some I love, now I just need a place to put them :P

Traditional..........................you are adding a layer to the room. Remember Rachel Zoe's place.....it was modern and traditional at the same time but worked.

Saw some really tall ones at Target the other day. I agree that three in diff sizes would look great....

I also have a friend with a modern kitchen and she had this huge glass "fish bowl" on her island which looked fabulous. Not sure what that has to do with what u r asking but thought it was an interesting option.....

Oh and I am sure TTD posted a link to where to order these online in my baby shower thread..... but have found some here...
