Our first night in Barcelona we went to a nearby brasserie -
Tenorio.
It was quite a swish restaurant with a very different colour scheme - purple, black and pink columns. It sounds awful but looked luxurious

.
We had a great table on a raised area where we could see everybody in the restaurant. We had great fun checking out the other diners and trying to guess their story. I spotted the couple having an affair, the newly dating couple and the couple that had been together for a few years but not yet married. The funniest table was of 10 businessmen in suits, 1 man in casual dress and a lady dressed very nicely. Everyone was in the 40's and 50's. The lady was the guest of honour and the casually dressed man was her partner. At one stage a very small bunch of flowers was given to her and many photos were taken - you would have thought she was receiving diamonds with all the fuss. So what do you think the celebration was about?
Mr17 thought it was Barcelona's version of the Bachelorette for mature people

.
Anyway Mr17 and I had the duck for dinner - superb. DH had prawn risotto which was good but only 2 prawns

. DH and I had apple pie (just apple on a thin crust) and cinammon icecream, Mr17 had a mouse of yummy custard with a toffee crust on top. Both desserts were lovely.
So the scores are:
Decor 9/10
Service 9/10
Food 9/10
It is on the Passeig de Gracia if you ever visit Barcelona
