For some reason that was one of the few things that I did not have a sample of, although I was naive then and didn't really realise you could even get samples!
Here is a pic of the new tile, but I will be asking them to get it in the right size 47mm.

I think these are lovely tiles but I haven't been involved in your selections so I don't know what look you were originally looking for. It's terrible when your trades stuff up like that isn't it!

They are lovely tiles..........sometimes the decisions made by accident work out the best....
I had my stone bench tops delivered today..... they undermounted sink when I asked for flushmounted..... Actually not too bad a decision now I look at it so it turned out for the best in the end..... Still they scratched the sink and hubby wasted 2 hrs have to take it to the buffers to buff out the scratch.... They will pay the $60 and give me a free piece of stone... Not sure what to do with a piece of stone but I guess I will take it anyways...

Rosie, those off-cuts are great. Use it as a pot stand for hot things, so you don't have to put it directly on a bench or table. I know lots of people that use them for that!

HI,
I have had issues with most of my benchtop installations - wrongly installed and most had cracks near the edges that I am going to be making them fix!!! Oh and gaps between the bench and actual cabinets. Then there was the crooked cabinets. The list is growing hehe I haven't seen scratches yet but they are not properly cleaned so you never know.
Anna, I am having Oyster Linea Laminex cupboards and Toffee Mineralstone Diamond Gloss benchtops. Trying to source a lot of nice white accessories to give it more contrast.
Do you think these tiles in the skinny form are nicer than say the 47mm by 47mm ones that I ordered? The grout is ivory.

I think either will look good, so it just comes down to personal preference! The square ones probably wouldn't date quite as quickly, because that very skinny style mosaic is very 'now', so a square style would be likely to be a little more classic?
I love the idea of lots of white accessories. Ikea always has some nice textured white vases so you could do a nice little group of different height ones. White bar stools would look great as well

HI,
Good point, thanks, think I will make them the 47mm ones - I do like the look of the square tile.
I have already bought some white bar stools and white containers for tea, coffee etc and a white utensils holder.
Love the vase idea - am still trying to find a nice large white fruit bowl. Sometimes it is not that easy to find one you really like.

It's a gorgeous tile K but I agree with Anna that the square tile is less likely to date.

Hi,
Even though we have had a few issues with our builder, I thought I would post a piccie of our kitchen splashback. Was happy with how the tiles came out in the end.... they cost a bit, but are one thing I don't regret.
