Default San Choi Bao

Look at what I made for lunch. This recipe for San Choi Bao is healthy and yummy. I am now one very full vegemite too. It would be perfect for dinners as well. It said it serves 4 and makes 8 cups. I found 1/4 made 3-4 cups - no wonder I am stuffed.

This San Choi Bao recipe is low in saturated fats and a good source of protein.

One of the most popular dishes in Chinese restaurants, San Choi Bao is very light yet satisfying. For variety, substitute the pork for chicken or duck.

excellent J-A - we had Chinese on Friday and the kids liked san choi bau so I had said we would make it at home. I've had a really nice version which was non-trad with pine-nuts and other things in it as well.

I had a big cookup on the weekend Judydg but I'm not sure if that effort can be kept up. I don't get much time during the week to cook as I usually cook something separate for myself. DH and Mr18 seem to only like food way too fattening for me. But I will use this recipe for dinner for the family. Plus another recipe I am trying tomorrow for Beef Chow Mein. Stay tuned for that recipe. You must be doing quite a bit of cooking with your new Thermomix

I cooked this for dinner tonight and it was a WINNER.

I added a few more vegies, and some noodles, and served it on rice to make it go a bit further.

All plates cleaned, which doesn't always happen.

Thanks heaps Julie-Ann.

Can't wait for tomorrow's recipe!!

My son will absolutely love if I make this for dinner one night so I'm going to give it a whirl. Thanks, J-A.

I added some celery, red capsi*** and broccoli, all chopped quite small, but I did steam the broccoli a bit first.
