Just noticed you are staying on St Kilda Rd not in St Kilda but still hope all my advice was useful...... You would be quite near to Southbank where there is Southgate precinct and then further down Crown......a short walk across the river and u r in central melbourne....

I was at Crown on Wednesday for dinner, and Automatic closed on the 4th April. I've eaten at 'Cervo' several times (including on Wed night!), and it's pretty good! Great steak, red wine and followed by beautiful Italian orange cake...what more could you want! Web site is a bit annoying, though:
