Ready, Set, Dissect - Eco/Industrial Cottage
This room is a real mix of styles and in soft, neutral colours. Tell us do you think the mixing of the styles works? What do you like and dislike in the room?
Get ready, set - dissect this room .

I love it.
I like that it looks lived in - a beautiful home not necessarily styled within an inch of its life, but still extremely stylish.
I love the warmth of the colours, but which are still light.

I love the colours too and the light fittings . I would have liked to see a little pattern in the fabrics - say just on the cushions would be fine. I also would have liked some more ornaments on the desk behind the sofa. Just a few items that add personality to the room. But I am being picky here - it is the type of room I would feel very comfortable in .

I love the room - it looks so calming Love the chandelier and the French doors The ceiling beams really add character to the room too. But if its my place, I'd probably have a darker coloured sofa even just a tad to add a bit of depth to the colour schemes. Or perhaps darker patterned and ruffled cushions for texture.

I love its casual elegance and the fact it is a lived in home and does not look too styled.

It appears to be a nice room, with nice furnishings, the thing I don't like about the room is there isn't a focal point, it is very distracting. To many lines competing with each other.

Would the beautiful bay window to the right not be a focal point?

Absolutely could be a focal point, just think there are too many things distracting your eye from focusing on that feature.....just an opinion.

Lovely - it looks like a nicely styled house that is actually liveable and lived in.
