Default Rachel Ashwell - Shabby Chic Store

On the last day I visited the Rachel Ashwell London store on the suggestion of my friend Chateau de Lille. And it was beautiful. I couldn't believe how much the store was the true essence of her Shabby Chic style. I felt like I had stepped into Rachel's own home. It was a very small store but filled with so much beauty. I could also see elements of the Hampton's style being worked into the choices in the shop.
I went to buy a little gift but unfortunately the EFTPOS machine wasn't working. Although as the staff tried to work it out they allowed me to take some photos. The photos really don't capture the beauty of the store.
Do you like the shabby chic look?

Thanks for the tour...................love Rachel Ashwell's calm decorating style........it certainly isn't for everyone and does seem to be moving into French Provincial..Hamptons style because they all have this relaxed feel about them.......which is very "homey"

Edit: That's not homey as in "home boy" rapper style either......LOL

I use to love watching her show on TV

There were moments (watching Rachael) I felt I had slipped into the land of fairies, fairy floss and the sound of music all rolled into one LOL I will never forget an episode where she used to slip loving little messages into her kids school lunches. Her boy, the same age as DS1 at the time, she wrote a message for him on a rock and put it in his lunch pack for him to find If I had of done that to my son, he would never have lived it down from his mates...ever.

I love shabby chic as a decorating style but only for a small farm cottage...thats when I would use the style.

Beautiful pictures Julie Ann makes me sigh from all the loveliness.

That's just it Mrs B. I was trying to describe the feeling to my friend Chateau de Lille. It was the most relaxing, girlie moment.
As a style I like less shabby and more chic. But oh the store was beautiful.
They told me she visits the store regularly- so if you are in the Notting Hill area pop on in. You might get to have a cup of tea with her
