Default Putting street numbers up

So if you have been reading this forum for a bit you will know that I am near (not there though) to finishing my new build..... But Rome being Rome..............its really taking a while and instead of rushing to a deadline (where mistakes tend to happen) we are taking our time...but you guys will be first to see pics once we are in...

Anyhoo.... the step we are up to atm is connecting gas meter up.... Legally the gas company can only connect to a house that has a street number and so with no street numbers yet I need to put up a temporary number (aka a big piece of paper) or think about a more permanent option...

So just wondering if anyone can show/tell me what numbering system they have used on their places to give me some ideas......

R-R, we have our house number painted on the curb/gutter - it is there for emergency services purposes as well as just being able to locate the street number easily as most are not easily seen form the street, especially at night.

Teenagers went around offering this number painting service for a small charge.

This is an example:

Or you could just get a cheap letter box and add some adhesive numbers until you find a more permanent solution.

That's a great idea Di!!!

We still don't have a number on the house but do have one on our letterbox. For some reason, we still end up with our neighbour's mail and the other way 'round :S

Call the council/shire before paining your number on the curb - I think it is their property (technically) - they may even offer the service for free.

Our number is on our letterbox. If someone came around selling the painted numbers on the curb I would buy that. They do it in a fluoro paint so that it shows up at night - clever idea.

Thanks guys........saw some bunnings metal ones I liked in an old home magazine I had lying around...

Thinking I will stick adhesive numbers to letterbox in mean time..... We do now have letterbox and front fence...... Hopefully side fence and carport roller door all to be in place in nxt fortnight which will mean no more ugly temporary fence....

Kitchen subway tiles went in today and will be grouted with expoxy grout to avoid staining by grease nxt week...... Laundry and butlers tiling to be completed as well.

So what is left to do...........painting of all trim (archs and skirts) we just can't do it so we are waiting on quotes.....Mr RR can spray the doors at work but we will do these gradually after moving in......

If the plumber would show up we would love to get plumbing finished too......
