One more then done.......

.Crepes (avail in supermarket) filled with ham and cheese and white sauce. White sauce easy to make in morning leave in frridge and then spoon on top of crepe add cheese and slice of ham and bake in oven until heated through....

Now I'm hungry...

They are perfect ideas - thanks Rosie. DH and Mr18 love both lots.

So what about coffee nibbles. I was thinking shortbread. Actually I was thinking we really don't need anything. But DH loves to go all out for Christmas. Are you all doing coffee nibbles like HSH?

HSH has the right idea...you need more food than you could possibly eat......

Almond bread are nice with coffee and light

Let us know what you decide on in the end J-A...

Next thread we need is one which show the food we created.....and the "tablescapes"

With only two weeks left we still haven't got lunch nailed yet We are having prawns and crayfish to start, followed by MILs lasagna and a green salad. Next up is the easy bit, roast turkey, pork and lamb with roast potatoes, pumpkin, steamed dutch carrots, brussel sprouts (for two) and a broccoli and cauliflower au gratin. Then the problems and fighting start!!!

No one can agree on desserts as one child likes something and no one else does, etc and on and on it has been going for over a month. I feel like just making what I want and if one doesn't like it too bad, but of course I won't because I am a slave and here to please them all effortlessly so it seems!

So I am still tossing up between a trifle, pavlova or lemon meringue roulade (all of which my daughter detests). Daughter wants chocolate self saucing pudding (her favorite but we have it all the time). DH suggested sticky date pudding but I'm not overly keen prefering something lighter, and I haven't been game to ask but she probably doesn't like it. Somehow I think there will be three or four made and we will be stuck eating desserts for a week after they have all gone back to their respective homes.

Eli I love your comment about being the slave!!! And I say whats 4 desserts in the whole scheme of things.....I say suggest to each of your kids to bring a dessert...even your youngest could put together something like a choc ripple cake...

And I would go with sticky date.............mmmmmm

I like Rosie's idea where they bring the dessert they love = everyone happy and no one is a slave.
