Default Photo Gallery

How many photos do you think we should put on the wall here to do a photo gallery? Our professional family photos are ready for us to go and choose. We had a sneak peak at some of them and we are really happy with them. I'm just not sure how many to choose. I am thinking of having a variety of sizes and have them framed - which of course will add to the cost.
The wall is about 3mt long and 2.8mt high.
Any thoughts?

I about to order from these guys and I have found their wall packages very useful to help decide what sizes I want. I no you are ordering from the photographer however the images will help to decide sizes and how many to fill your wall.

Depending on which are your favourite images, you could do a large photo of the three of you, and then three individual photos next to it. So you would maintain a neat rectangle, but the frames within the gallery would vary in size, making it more interesting.

Please, please, please work the baby photos in. They are so fantastically amazing

I have done or at least prepared a gallery wall for Rome. I bought a box set of frames from target and they were about $30. So there are some 8x10 and some 5x7 and some 4x6... They have matt boards which give a nice gallery effect with black frames.

We also had our recent professional portrait framed gallery style with a 10 cm white border on each side of picture so it is quite a big frame but the photo being an 8x10 was cheaper. Cost me about $40 to have a frame and matt board made to order. I saved money as if they were to mount the photo in the frame it would have cost more so they made frame and I put picture in. Every bit counts...

Giggle_Smile those galleries are fantastic. I can totally see what size photos we need to create the size and shape we want. Thanks for the link.
Thanks Dmplus 3 we love the baby pictures too. For those who haven't seen them - they are photos of DH, Mr18 and I when we were all 18 months old. You can really see how similar looking DH and Mr18 are.
Rosie you got a frame and mount for $40. Where did you get it? That is an amazing price. My next big problem is the frames. The frames the baby pictures are in I painted expensive gold frames. There is also a large print at the end of the hall framed in this identical frame. I could buy cheap frame and paint them all. It was very time consuming though.

You can also get these type of sets on ebay that include a template to help you hang them.
