Default The perfect carpet

In my quest to find the ultimate flooring - today I got a step closer.
It's been a few years since I bought carpet - not many clients ask for it when you are renovating bathrooms and kitchens. But I ordered some carpet for the holiday house I am decorating for clients. I suggested we look at a cut twist pile as it is very resistant to be flattened. And when it does flatten it puffs back up with a simple vacuum. The only negative was the carpet was a nylon- a wool carpet was beyond the budget. The negative in the past was the nylon carpets bleached from some moisturisers or ointments.

Well that problem is now solved with SOLUTION DYED NYLON CARPETS.

This explains what the difference is "Carpet’s most durable fibre, solution-dyed nylon carpet offers complete consistency in colour. Pigment & polymer are mixed before extrusion, so it offers a colourfastness against light & won’t fade , as well as long-term resilience, durability & superior stain resistance. The non-porous fibre can also resist odours. Solution-dyed carpet is very resistant to abrasion & wear as well as matting, which will keep the carpet looking like new for a long time."

So because the fibre is coloured all the way through and isn't porous it doesn't bleach.

So the ultimate flooring- at last.

Are you as excited about this as me?

It's $129m2 but these are prices for a country town 9 hours from Perth. I would think city prices would be much lower.

Ignore that price as it's the country. I know some items can be more than double in the country towns in WA compared to Perth. And with many items Perth is more expensive than the Eastern States.

We have SDN and I love it. Almost two years on we have no marks or stains anywhere in the house. It is easy to look after, vacuum etc and so soft to walk on. The only thing my kids asked for during the building process was soft carpet. We upgraded the underlay as well.

Ours is a Beaulieu Carpet which is made on the Gold Coast in Qld.

Did you get the cut twist pile as well TTD?
Do you happen to remember roughly how much it was?

It sounds absolutely brilliant carpet.

We paid $105 (per sqm?) down from $118. I know we had about 55 lineal metres of it and all up our carpet cost $9000 and something maybe $9500. But we have s.h.a.g. in the HT which was about $200 and something per sqm. Does this sound right???

This is ours in Rice Paper colour

It's not cheap but I would pay for it. It's the perfectionist in me that hates seeing something not look it's absolute best forever. Thanks for the information TTD
