Default No Carb, High Protein, Low Fat Dinner Recipes

I am looking to cut the carbs in my meals but I can't find any good ideas or recipes for dinners. I want to have no simple carbs like rice, pasta, bread, even wraps or potatoes. It needs to have lots of protein and vegetables. And of course low fat- I don't want blocked arteries. And something tasty would be ideal. Oh and I am allergic to all seafood.
Any ideas desperately appreciated.

How about good old meat and veg? Small piece of grilled steak or chicken and lots of steamed greens.

What about using legumes instead of meat.

I just love making veg and chickpea curry.

You could do a mustard grilled chicken breast in a salad....

Do you like tofu... I love doing asian style soups with heaps of veg and tofu and lots of chili.

I also love chunky lentil minestrones....

Julie-Ann why don't you try having lean steak - 120 grams with fibrous vegies? For eg Spinach, Zucchini, Green Beans, Brussel sprouts, Bok choy, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Asparagus.

Sorry Rosie I don't like lentils or beans and love my meat.
I was looking for something more appealing than steak and veg. It's a bit boring to have every night.

Carbs are actually good for you especially if you are doing regular exercise, it is learning what are good vs bad carbs that is important.

You can loose a lot of weight on a no carb diet but it's not really a balanced diet & you need more fats for energy, have also heard there are gassy side effects, eewww.

A quick google found this website which may help to explain the difference between good & bad carbs http://www.weightlossforall.com/how-...-bad-carbs.htm

Don't worry I am not going on a no carb diet. I couldn't last on that if I tried. Just trying to reduce some carbs and looking for ideas.

It may be worth googling bodybuilding recipes.

Carb wise, replace white potato with sweet potato.
It may be worth investigating high protein alternaitives to rice such as quinoa and freeka.

Just thought I should check as it did say No Carb in the title From what I've read it is a popular diet but not really a long term healthy eating plan.

I've got a recipe book - The Low GI vegetarian Cookbook - which has some yummy recipes, I must use it some day These meals on their own or a portion with lean meat would be a good eating plan.

I've found stress lead to poor eating habits & I must break them but I don't like cooking so I've been looking for interesting healthy food to inspire me but I do need to see a photo for that.

I have Michelle Bridges Crunch Time book which has some nice recipes, also Theresa Cutter's book who does the healthy eating column in Aust House & Garden. I will see if I can find anything nice to post for you. Not really the weather but how about roast veg i.e cherry toms, pumpkin, zucchini, red onion etc instead of normal.
I did a low carb diet once where they made 'mashed potato' from cauliflower - it actually wasn't too bad!!
