New member from Australia
Hi, I'm about to begin building our new home in Perth, Western Australia, and need all the help I can get. I'm particularly interested in the mix of Hamptons and modern decorating styles. In particular, I'm trying to figure out what windows to go with, as it seems to me that the windows are a big part of the decorating style. While I like the white little square windows and doors of the hamptons style, I'm not sure they are the easiest to live with and was wondering if there are any more modern windows and doors out there that would work with the Hamptons decorating style. So, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, they would be appreciated.

Hi Terrymalone welcome to the Decorating Forum. Many of us here are from Perth too .
How exciting to be building- especially this style of home. I love the Hamptons look too. Do you have any pictures of any elevations you like? To attach pictures here on the forum you can follow any of these instructions.

Welcome to the forum Terrymalone. I don't know whether the site
http://www.lindsaylittle.com.au/newhome.htm might be useful. It has some lovely pictures of styles of homes as well as windows that may suit you.

I think wooden windows look more authentic than aluminium. The catch is the maintenance of them.

Hi All, i have also just joined today and i am also from Perth, i too am building a new home in burns beach WA, where are you all building?
Im in the midst of buying furniture and am off tomorrow to purchase our new white leather bed, we are tossing up between 2 so checking them out again to make sure. Would love some opinions along the way. Im thinking of having mirrored bedside tables, not sure where to get them from in perth at a reasonable price(im also new to perth, just been here a year) Love to hear your thoughts and try stayed tuned for you build updates. Our went to lock up this week, even though its exciting we are having withdrawals from not being able to get in and check it out. Good luck

Hi Tiffanyjane it is lovely to meet a fellow Perthite . How exciting for you to be building. When you get a chance we would love for you to tell us all about it. All you need to do is start a thread in the My Build/Renovation forum.
I love your choice of bedroom furniture. It sounds very luxurious . Have a look at Domain Gallery on Scarborough Beach Rd in Osborne Park. They might have some affordable mirrored bedside tables. Also try a company called Minkz at 420 Scarborough Beach Rd, Osborne Park. Let us know how you go

Hamptons style home
Hi all and thanks for the lindsaylittle website Clare1. Some great photos there. I loved lots of them although I'm having an issue about whether or not these style of homes can be built on a small suburban block rather than a large acerage where there are rolling lawns and wonderful gardens. My house will take up the entire block with a small alfresco area at the rear which looks over a golf course and a pond with a fountain. Do you think I'm dreaming, thinking that a hamptons style home will work on a suburban block?
