My first roadside gem!!
Picked this up last week on my first roadside find!
I have to say its all new to me dumping stuff outside your house, but I now LOVE it
So what shall I do with it next!
I'm new to all your paints here in Oz and woud really like to paint it in a shabby chic cream or grey colour, I have been to Brunnings but has no idea where to start.
So I guess after the inital sanding down, I'll take the handles off, prime it and then paint it.
It's to go into my guest bedroom which at the moment is all off white, so a colour might be nice??
Can anyone help point me in the right direction

I'll be interested to see what suggestions people come up with. I have one almost identical....and have no idea what to do with it. I have different handles and the top sits flush with the drawers...which is probably why I haven't jumped at the chance to do anything with it, as it doesn't look 'quite right'!
Mine was also roadside find (on behalf of my BIL!).

I had a white queen anne bedroom suite 30 years ago with bedsides tables identical to these, it's funny how things turnaround and become popular again.

They actually look my bedside tables below.
I paint all my furniture Dulux Antique White USA in a flat acrylic paint. It gives a chalky off white paint finish. A grey would be lovely but i haven't done that yet.
I bought glass cut ****s when we did up this 2nd hand dressing table.
We also replaced the wooden top of our bedside tables with marble tops. They cost $300 for the 2 tops.

That's funny cos they are selling on ebay like hotcakes.
We bought these the week before last. They're in pretty good shape but I'm not allowed to paint them white though.
Hard to see from this pic but they have carving at the top back and lipped edges around the drawer fronts, original handles, etc.

Update!
Hey guys
Have been meaning to update this thread for a while now, so here is my rennovated bedside table, design wise its nothing all that unusual but I LOVE it and it really works in the guest room which is white with hints of blue.
Am moving on to my next project soon, so am sure I'll be back for more tips!!
I loved the Dulux Anitque USA paint you recommended too - so thank you!
