Minimum room required for a toilet suite
Hi all
Our walk through robe's doors aren't lined up. The entry door is in the centre of the walk through, but the exit door (or the entry door to the ensuite) is not in the centre of the walk through, but instead in the centre of the ensuite. If this makes sense... I've attached an image, because I'm bad at explaining these sorts of things
I really want the walk through doors to line up with each other and would like to move the ensuite door slightly to the right(so it is in line with the other door). But, we've got a toilet on the RHS and I am worried that there might not be enough room... What is the minimum requirement for toilet clearance in these situations?

morning, 620 is miniumum door size I think, our old toilet had a door of 620 on it if that helps
or if you mean either side of the actual toilet, I'm not sure, but our toilet in our ensuite sits alongside our shower in between 680 -700 space

Mjm is right- a 620 door would be fine. As for the space I wouldn't go less than 700mm and I try to do 750mm for comfort. How much space is allocated for the toilet area?

yeah our toilet sits in between a wall and the side of the glass shower, but the shower attaches onto a small nib wall, the toilet cistern sits in between the nib and the other wall, that part is only 680 wide but you don't sit at that part, the glass for the shower is inset more so the space in between the glass and the wall on the other side of the toilet is exactly 700
I must go and clean that bathroom one of these days I can show a pic

Problem solved- with 850mm you will have room for a Sumo wrestler . If only all the problems were that easy

I survived a 76cm toilet width in my powder room due to builders framing mistakes. As the toilet was part of the room and not enclosed, it turned out to be plenty of room. A-M xx
