A couple of months ago the annual Milan Furniture Fair was held. This fair showcases the work of many creative designers. It is also extremely influential in setting trends. Unfortunately I didn’t get to go myself

(one day -maybe) but these are my observations from the many articles and blogs who have written about it.
The “IT” colour is teal. Basically all shades of blue-green. Green itself did seem to be very popular as well. I love these colours and they will work so well with the taupe and grey neutrals that so many of us have in our homes.
Large blocks of solid colours were very popular. Now that would make a statement. Not just the popular teals, greens and blues but last year’s purple was still there.
So many pictures where fabric and even materials like wood seemed folded, pleated and gathered. A lot of leather being gathered, buttoned and draped.
Also timber was popular in natural, raw and waxed finishes.
Do you see any of these trends appearing in your home?
