Default Lenards Meals

I have bought a few things at Lenards recently and thought I would let you know about them.
The most popular has been the Oriental Spring Rolls. The inside is similar to teriyaki chicken with some vegetables. They are quite large spring rolls. These are proving perfect for nights DH & DS have soccer. They make a light meal before or after soccer.
I also bought some Chinese Honey kebabs and Satay Kebabs. Both were a success.
Last week I bought a large Satay Chicken. I cooked it up and added some asian veges to it. DH loved the Satay sauce (ok I did too as I couldn't resist a taste). But there were no vegetables and DH complained some pieces of meat were a bit fatty. But I think it cost less than $5 and did 3 serves - so very good value for money.

I only shop at Lenards when I want to try something new - I find them quite expensive.

Once I have found something I really like from there, I will go home and work out how to make it myself! I don't like the amount of processed things in their food (ie. there macadamia stuffing, it's more breadcrumbs then anything). And I especially don't like how much Garlic butter they put on their products. So I make my own!

I have been known to take a chicken fillet, slice it lengthways to make two, spread some garlic butter thinly on it, sprinkle with spring onions and herbs, lay it on some bacon and roll it up, securing with a skewer and chuck it in the oven for 1/2 hour to 40mins ... just like theirs just better!
