Welcome Zoe.........please, please can we have a photo of your rug when it arrives and your carpet I think its wonderful to be so brave with very personal items in decor.
I would love to brave with Carpet but I just can't stick to 1 particular style so it makes it difficult.
LdH, I really like those colours in that rug.....another perfect choice for the right room.

Thanks, I plan to use the rug in my living room in front of the couch. Once i have everything set up I will post photos.

I think I will be on the forum a lot over the next few months. I have many plans for my new place and it will be great to bounce ideas off other members. From what i have read of other people's comments so far, everyone has wonderful taste!!

I will be interested to hear other people's perspective on all things design and decorative that I may not have considered.

Oh I love girly and bold. It is brave but stunning.
What colours do you have in the lounge area already Zoe? I can't wait to see the finished result. I am so excited for you.
We would love to bounce ideas around with you- feel free to ask any questions

We move in next week, we have done a tree change and are going from suburbia to a vineyard in the Macedon Ranges.

The house is lovely, it has been built from castlemaine stone and the people we bought it from used nothing but the best in the build. For example, the kitchen benches and cupboards are solid huon pine which I was told by a builder you just dont see everyday because it is v expensive. It has a huge open plan meals, kitchen and lounge room with soaring cathederal ceilings.

Being blessed with impeccable champagne taste but sadly a beer budget, it will take years for us to implement my dreams, but it will be fun! I hope to have an operating open garden and cellar door this time next year.

Heres some of my current fav links for anyone who is interested.
I want a cross between slighty edgy industrial and french style (sounds weird I know!)

We have ordered gates from here

in love with Il F****e

who would've thought door furniture could be so interesting. Love Brionne - download PDF

and finally (phew)
william morris and art nouveau rugs - good prices too

Oh the house sounds gorgeous. Is it still on the real estate agent's website? Maybe you could post a link.
The iron gates look lovely too. Which one have you chosen?
I do love your taste - it is very much a champagne budget though lol. Have a look at Traditional Hardware Company you might find some cheaper door furniture. Their website is not the greatest so if you can find a local stockist it is much better.
Thanks for showing us all the beautiful things you have planned for your home. It will be fun watching it come together.
