Thank you Lanne but yes Qld is low on the list. At the moment it is Monash in Melbourne, 2 universities in Sydney and ANU in Canberra. But there are only about 80 places in total for the whole of Australia . So he is going to have to keep his marks very high to get in- so we will see. But in the meantime I will spend the year preparing him for life away from home. In the end hopefully he will appreciate how much his Mum spoils him

I can remember when I was going to boarding school (at 12), the two things that worried me most were, wait for it ... firstly, buttering my own bread - In our home the bread was fresh and the butter lived in the fridge and so I was petrified of making a fool of myself. Little did I realise that in the big smoke at boarding school there was margarine!!
and.... doing my own laundry. But the nuns were actually really helpful in demonstrating how to use a twin tub machine, and how to iron our uniforms.

Lol twin tubs Cherylle - that was awhile ago .
Well I am proud to say Mr17 has folded and ironed all his clothes successfully. And this won't be the last time he will do this. Although he is hoping if he goes east the university accommodation will have dryers so he doesn't have to iron so much .
