Default Just thought I would mention it

Some of you may know I occasionally work for a Lounge Manufacturer....
Well last year I had a wonderful new sofa custom made for our "old" new home and was totally in love with the idea of it being black....
We had it made and I loved it. I chose an amazing heavy duty fabric so I would feel comfortable having kids and animals around it without damage.
I have instead managed to damage it myself without thought and wanted to make sure no one else falls into this hole.
I have previously had a macrosuede fabric lounge for 7 years and it was amazing....the best fabric I could hope for....
This fabric however was not 100% polyester like that one and has a small amount o f acrylic aswell...(I will get to what I did in a second I promise)
I have been suffering with a bad neck and lied on the sofa with the heat bag as I have done all my macrosuede sofa life and have burnt the acrylic fibres leaving a whiteish mark in its place

Oh nooo. I have never heard of anything like that happening. I would never have thought to not allow the heat bag to be in contact with the fabric. I am so sorry your couch is damaged. But thank you for warning others. You really just beat a good faux suede fabric for easy maintenance.
So I guess you will need more cushions and throws to hide the mark??? There is always a silver lining.

I can't wait for Hubby to hear about the Silver Lining...he will be so impressed with that idea
I have down played it to him quite alot as I just don't want to him to get anymore upset over our (my) choice of fabric...

Bugger. I would never have thought of that happening either. I use a heat pack all the time, although not much around the top of my neck, usually further down between by back and the couch. Definitely more cushions and throws required.

At this stage Rosie....no repair available
Very big lesson learnt and a reminder that my macrosuede was and still is the best fabric sofa I have ever owned
