Default Invisible wall speakers

Imagine a man's dream sound system in a woman's perfectly decorated room. No more big ugly speakers in the corner or even discreet speakers on the walls or ceilings. No speakers visible at all. It can be done.
Thisisme's dilemma with Mr Thisisme wanting to put speakers on walls in every room of the house reminded me of this great product. You can fit speakers to any drywall and skim a thin coat of plaster and paint over them. Or you can even wallpaper over them. And you still get ground sound even though the speakers are invisible.
This is an article on them to show the men in your life. The two companies that seem to be wholesaling them are mentioned in the article.
So women of the world what do we think? Personally, I could kiss the clever person who invented this

That's a great idea..better than those great big boxes with cords every where... i Like the idea of anything wireeless. ALot of the new surround sound systems aren't really wireless, because the front two have wires. I bet a lady invented the hidden wall speakers!

I love this concept!! I just showed it to DH and he made a face and said "I bet the sound is lousy; speakers work by moving the air, and with these you would have the walls shaking or vibrating." Well phooey to him, I think it's a fantastic idea, rather than having multiple black boxes everywhere.

Have they figured out a way to disguise speakers within decorative vases yet? I took my DH's homemade sub-woofer (brown plywood box ugh) and covered it with a tablecloth in the same colour as my lounges (navy blue), put it in the corner as an "ottoman" and put a vase with reeds on top. Looks great! I'm happy, he's happy that he gets his "big sound" LOL.

My husband was all skeptical too about the sound. I would love to use these in our next place which we hope to build.

Oh those negative men- they always think size matters.

Here are some reviews to show them.
This is an old review in 2007 so the quality should have improved even.
An interesting interview here
And some customer reviews.

We have finally achieved the impossible- good stereo sound without big ugly speakers.
