Default Intro

Hi everyone, after nosing around on Facebook for ages, I finally decided I should create an account on here!

I am Sarah, and live in beautiful Auckland in New Zealand. My husband and I are currently building a 5 bedroom house (however if you ask Council, they will tell you its a 7 bedroom house....), on 5 acres about 45mins north of Auckland city.

Our building process started back in December last year, when we put in for our Building Consent with council. We had a move in date of August 4th, but that has now been moved to September 1st (due to a few glitches from a few of the tradies...... hmmmm... don't get me started ).

Every day I am on the lookout for something new for the house, or ideas for the house, so look forward to sharing ideas with everyone!

Hi TruBluOzi welcome to the Decorating Forum. Your house sounds enormous- plenty of room for visitors or a bunch of Aussies popping over to visit. We would love to bounce ideas around for your new house so feel free to ask any questions. It will be lovely to chat with you here too

hi Julie-Ann
Thanks for the welcome... we seem to have chosen some pretty radical paint colours in the formal lounge, and the kids bedrooms.... the kids want some of those wall decals, so we have found one amazing one to go on the shocking pink bedroom.... now we have purple, yellow, blue bedrooms to follow, not sure what I am going to do with the other three as yet.... and the formal lounge is an avocado green, which will follow out into our big picture window to the rolling hills..... not really sure how that is going to look... You will have seen pics on my facebook already

Hi TruBluOzi your house is absolutely huge and lovely. I can't wait to see it finished. Have they given you a finishing date?
I tried to comment on your blog but it wouldn't bring up a box to comment in. It maybe my computer but I thought I should let you know.
