Default Interior Design courses?

Hi all, new to this forum
I have for as long as I remember been interested in interior design and have finally decided to do something about it instead of just dreaming about it. I have recently made enquiries into Coco Republic Interior 101 courses they are quite expensive so Im hoping they will be worth it.
Is there anyone doing or have completed any of their courses and can you give me an honest independant assessment?
Look forward to your advice and chatting with you all
HappyJoy

Hi Happyjoy - welcome to the Decorating Forum. How exciting for you to be starting your interior design course - at last. I haven't done the course but I know A-M from the blog The House that A-M built is going to be doing the course very soon. When we met recently she was chatting about it. She seemed very positive about it. I do love the Coco Republic stores. I think the beauty of these courses are they help to expand your creativity and show you basic principles. Do they provide you with a course outline?

Hi Julie- Ann
thanks for the warm welcome. yes they did give me a brief course outline. I am hoping the course will give me the confidence I feel I am lacking. It would be good to get some insight from other that have done or are doing the Coco Republic Course to see if it is money well spent.

Hi Happy-Joy
I just completed a Colour Masterclass at the Coco Republic on the weekend. It was excellent. Very informative and worthwhile. I have previously studied Interior Design via correspondence and although I had already covered a lot of the theory in the course at Coco it was great to be in a classroom environment doing practical excercises! A friend has done the Accelerator Course and found it very worthwhile. I also think that course will help you with industry contacts etc. From what I understand the course IS highly regarded as it is run by an industry based school. Hope that makes sense??

Thanks for that feedback Letitia - you are a gem to let us know what you thought of the course. It sounds like you had a great time
