Did you see Beverley's photos of her
lovely home? Take a good look at all that timber- stunning isn't it. I was so impressed with the look of her timber I asked Beverley about the stain they used. This is Beverley's experience with using Intergrain DWD -
I had been using normal Intergrain decking oil which is great for decks/woodwork in reasonable condition. My painter explained that normal Intergrain is like painting with cordial, it will colour the deck, but Intergrain DWD is a mousse consistency and feeds really dry wood. I am really impressed with the results and the shine it gives off. It is not cheap, can't remember the exact price, but think it was about $230 for 10 Litres! It goes on really easily with a brush or sheepskin head for the deck. The only down side is it doesn't come in a range of colours. I had previously been using Intergrain decking oil in Jarrah stain because I love the rich look. DWD is in more of a Western red cedar colour. But I have found it is not too orange but this may be because the timber was a darker colour to begin with.
