hard to find a medium between dry and water logged! Yes those winds are terrible.

Yes that is my dream trip start in New york and head to Niagra Falls via Boston. And stopping in at all the cute little towns with their antique shops. Kicking the dry leaves as you walk. But all this must wait until Mr16 finishes school and DH and can do it alone. Mr16 is not an antiques fan and all the complaining in the back seat would kind of spoil the mood

Lol you are more than welcome, I'm sure you will whinge a lot less.
I have planned this even before Mr16 was born. I had a friend from that area and she would talk about it and I would just dream. Then I started reading Romantic Homes magazines and they would feature B&B's or shops from this area. It just looks so gorgeous. You are all welcome to come along- we will hire a bus instead of a car

Trip sounds wonderful. I am an avid reader of a blog in NY, I love it when she goes on little road trips to hunt for teasure. Like this.

Wow daphadills I love your garden. Congrats for sticking with it. I remember that feeling of wanting a garden so much when we first brought too but alas we have sold and are back in a rental for the time being.
Your little gardner looks like a great helper. My 4 year old daughter keeps asking me about a garden .....im just not sure we should do it as I tend to kill plants on a regular basis. Maybe a small indoor plant for her to start with and then we can see how we go.

I loved the blog tryingtodecorate that is exactly how I picture spending my time on my dream trip. Now all I need to do is convince DH to ship all my great finds home. I will let you know when I am planning on going
