Default How do you store your laundry powder/fabric softener?

Do you keep your laundry powder/fabric softener in their original containers or do you have pretty ways of storing them?

I buy my laundry powder and fabric softener in huge buckets/bottles and would love to store them in some smaller and pretty containers once our laundry benchtop goes in.

I've got one of these tins, in pink. I don't use fabric softener, just vinegar and I don't have a pretty version of that yet

I buy laundry powder in bulk and decant into a smaller (1kg) container - but this is kept in the cupboard.

I don't use fabric softener as it's not all that great for your clothes or washing machine.

I bought clear glass jars with silver lids from ... ikea! (ha).
and decant into those. I bought them in varying sizes.. so I have a big one for nappy san, a mid sized one for drive, a small one for bicard.. another has wooden pegs (it is handy to have spare pegs and the wood looks nice). and one has a nail brush and stain removing soap in it.

I then have baskets that hold the laundry liquid etc.. they have high sides so you can't see most of the stuff...

I put my powder in a cream tin I bought from Freedom with 'laundry powder' written on it. I also have the matching 'house keeping' bucket, which is very handy to grab and carry up the stairs to do the bathrooms. I keep napisan in an apothecary jar I found at a $2 shop (was $17) and out on the bench with the other 2 tins. I keep fabric softner in it's original container in the cupboard, as I don't use it very often at all...mainly for handwashing to reduce static!

I was going to use the laundry powder tins that are popular but decided I prefer to keep everything stored away as my laundry bench space is limited.

I've just put up a floating shelf in our laundry so I now use a couple of clear jars with silver lids from ikea for my napisan and laundry detergent. I also have a pretty blue tin 'peg' bucket on the shelf and a framed photo. It looks a lot nicer in there now

I have the same thing as Tinkster and plan on buying in bulk and just filling up that whenever it needs to be filled. The softener will just stay in the normal 2L bottle.
