Hey everyone, I'm Kirsten (but please call me 'Kay' - for some reason 'Kirsty' never stuck, but one letter did) from north of the city. I'm 23 and in my first rented house with Boyfriend (and Housemate, who keeps to his room).

I found this forum because I desperately need help with some decorating tidbits, especially in this ridiculously-shaped living room. We've been here for a year now so I want to stop with all this mismatched furniture and 'make-do' placement. I've been nesting and getting more and more obsessed with building a house/renovating for almost two years now, but as that's not financially viable right now I thought decorating a little better might be good for me.

So that's why I'm here! I've loitered around a little bit since I joined yesterday and I have to say, I'm pretty excited to be here.

We have several members who are renting and do an amazing job decorating their rental homes. When you are ready post a thread and pictures about the room you would like us to help you with. Which room is bothering you the most? That's the best place to start.
