Just popping in to introduce myself...

I'm Kate. I have one husband, four kids and ten acres of weeds just north west of Melbourne.

I have made myself stay away from this forum for a while now as I'm trying to be patient while we self renovate our old Californian Bungalow.... I knew that I'd be too frustrated by all the great ideas for interiors etc. But we have a roof now (thank goodness!) and soon the weather-boards and windows will go in and then we start on the internals which is when I'm going to have to make some decisions.... so here I am... be ready for lots of questions!

Hi Kate welcome to the Decorating Forum. I had to laugh when you said you have 1 husband - I should hope so.
You sound like you have a great project ahead. Do you have any pictures? We love photos. And we are happy to plan ahead with you - even if it is only day dreaming at this stage. Doesn't all this planning mean we will better prepared?

Hi Kate welcome I can sympathise with the weeds, we used to have five acres of them...oh sorry that is fodder or something for the cows.

Hey Kate...............sounds fabulous...........And I just love cal bungs and am building a new one myself. We are almost to lock up so very similar stage to you...... and the girls here will tell you that I have been planning interior for ages ROFL....can never be too prepared.....

I've been a bit slack with replying.. have had one of those months where everyone in the house gets sick... damn winter!

The renovations are slow going... which I guess is to be expected when you are doing all the work yourself. But we have all of the new windows and doors in (we are recycling two old ones that we took out that are yet to be fitted) and we are hoping to have at least one wall of weather boards on by the end of the weekend... which is rather exciting, even if it is only one wall!

You an see some photos and read some blog posts about our renos here... now I'm off to the rest of the forums to ask some more in depth questions!
