Either way looks good TIM. This way probably is more modern and streamlined. But do you think you would use all the rod? I guess because we have our clothesline in our garage I would never use this for drying. Maybe for hanging the clothes waiting for ironing. But then that would look constantly messy as there is constantly clothes waiting to be ironed.

I see the look you are trying to get and understand but does that mean cabinets higher, will this long rod get in the way of things might it annoy you in future? I really liked the original design...

I might be too late to respond?

If not.. I would tile around the bench. No further and nothing else... it seems a waste of money? It is a glam look with little practical application unless it is a moisture protection thing? and you arent living in your laundry (unlike some of us ..

I would also run the rail full length. oh. how. i. wish. a) it will look more uniform and be less noticable. b) that is a whole chunk of rail space! c) it will be great above the sink if you need to do stain removal or have things drip dry.

Love it.

A portion of our laundry cabinetry went in yesterday. I will see how I go with everything and will then decide how high I want the overheads... Still keen on a hanging rail

Love your tiles and floor waste TIM. Is it weird to love a floor waste?
