Now before I introduce myself, I thought I'd better explain my username. When my son was around 18 months old, he was fascinated with the moon and the stars. This one particular night, we took him outside to see the full moon and his awestruck reply was "ooh gollygar". And this is what he has called the moon for many months afterwards. Cute hey?
As for me, I am a Mum of two youngsters - a 6yo and a 3yo. We live in the glorious city of Canberra and have done for over ten years now. Originally from Sydney but husband convinced me to move here. We bought a big home on a big block for not much more than the cost of the tiny unit I sold in Sydney. Our house is a definite '70's decorator special which we're doing our best to drag kicking and screaming into the 21st Century. I'm a Stay At Home Mum so find myself coming up with ideas almost daily (poor husband).
I've been looking for a forum where I can chat with other keen renovators and stumbled on this site via a Better Homes and Gardens Facebook page. Can't wait to start chatting.
