A greeting from me to you...
Hello to you all,
My name is Lisa and I'm quite excited to finally join this forum. I've been peeking about a little over the past few months as our new venture was unfolding, and now that it's in full swing, I'd love to share the journey with others who are passionate about their sanctuaries.
My husband and 2 children are in the midst of building our dream home located on one acre of rainforest on the Sunshine Coast hinterland. After 4 years of searching for the perfect block, 2 years of designing, the time has arrived for the mammoth build. A steep block, restrictions regarding vegetation, green zones, bushfire, energy efficiency etc etc have made this build challenging.
But, they've also made it exciting, different and unique.
We've built several times on straight suburban blocks and have renovated a couple of post war homes. But this is the biggy!
I really look forward to bouncing all sorts of ideas around on this forum.
Now......over the the Amy Butler rug post.....have had my eye on one for ages (actually wanting to source one of her wall papers for my new laundry).
Bye for now
Lisa

Thank you for the warm welcome
Hello ladies,
Thanks for the lovely welcome. I finally got my blog up and running in the middle of the night (it's all too difficult during the daylight hours). I will be transferring from an older blog to a new format so may take me a few days to copy and paste it all.
I'll try and upload some plans to start with. Fingers crossed it works.
As I'm new to this forum, any suggestions (such as Rosie's) would be greatly appreciated.
Off to drama class with my little ones (may even sneak in a little blogging whilst they're happily playing with friends).
Lisa

Hi Lisa, look forward to following your build. We have just submitted our plans to council. We lived in Brisbane for 2 years and I love the Sunshine Coast - so green compared to Perth
