Default Great dinner ideas

What's for dinner at your house tonight?
It is so hard to think of ideas each day on what to cook, especially if you have fussy eaters. So maybe we can get some ideas from each other.

Thursday night is indoor soccer night for DH & Mr16. Soccer night apparently means Pizza night which they make themselves. Not the healthiest option but they insist. And if it means I get a night off cooking- who am I to complain. They are persuaded sometimes to have lasgna on soccer night.

So what's for dinner at your house?

I am home alone, so who knows. All I know is that I will be cleaning up the mess my dog made outside. A bag of rubbish, dirt etc, is spread all under the pergola.
Tomorrow night we will have Lemongrass and ginger scented chicken cooked in the Slow Cooker. We have our son and daughter in law arriving tonight. Sandi's brother is getting married on Saturday. It is also Jason and Sandi's 2nd wedding anniversary on Monday. You would have thought Sandi's sister in law would have chosen another date, BUT NO she has to be the same. Even having their reception in the same place.?????

Enjoy your night off cooking Lorraine. We can both put our feet up tonight.
The lemongrass & ginger chicken sounds scrummy. Is it difficult to make? Can you do it in 10 minutes whilst you are on the computer at the same time lol?

I'm home alone tonight so it's my cheats dinner- tomato, basil and cheese pizza on mountain bread. Reasonably healthy and super tasty!

Also prepping for tomorrows dinner, beef goulash in the slowcooker! Worlds best invention!!

Are slow cookers only used for casserole type dishes. My DH is not a fan of casseroles. He likes Asian food and they both love Italian.

No you can even cook deserts in a slow cooker Julie-Ann, roasts etc. I have my Lemongrass and ginger chicken cooking at home now. All I have to do is add sugar snap peas 15 minutes prior to serving, and cook some rice. YUM!!! Also made muffins last night too.
