Glass glass glass glass glass
Mr Thisisme loves glass. So much that he wants most of downstairs walls and doors to be glass (maybe not most but a LOT).
My concerns: - Cleaning
- Breaking (although it would be toughened glass I am sure it is still breakable)
- Privacy (no picking my nose while in the garage as someone could be watching me from the dining room, no scratching your bum while walking up the stairs as again, someone could be watching you from the sitting room).
Feel free to be honest and let us know what you think. Would you be happy with this if it was your house?
Please ignore the staircase, I still haven't figured out how to do that part

Those glass walls are internal. On one side are sitting and dining room and on the other is the hallway, staircase, foyer.

Thanks I thought i was looking at it right The only thing I would be concerned about apart from the cleaning lol is glass going into the cinema. Im not sure if you are going to use it as a dark theatre room, but I think the glass would let alot of light in, which in most rooms is a good thing, in a cinema maybe not so good.

Re: theatre room
That's exactly what I said to Mr Thisisme, and he said that we will have some sort of movable coverings/curtains on the doors so that when not in use they could be moved to the side ... So stubborn he is

Nope i reckon the darker the better, we have a put a door on our Theatre room for the same reason, it was open before and the door was the first change we made to it

I like the idea of the glass walls between the dining and hallway because sometime hallways can be dark and rather boring, i think the glass will be a nice feature and you can hang a nice piece of Art on the hallway wall and will be able to see it from the dining room

I certainly like the glass walls to the formal areas, but agree with both you and giggle_smile about a glass door into the cinema. But I guess Mr thisisme already had a comeback ready for that!
My only concern would be the garage. To me, it's a bit like putting a glass door into your laundry. Save the glass doors for your 'pretty' areas!
Also, is that a door into the kitchen/family/meals? Is this for air con/heating purposes?

Hahahaha. Exactly what I said! BUT, Mr Thisisme want's to be able to see his babies in the garage every time he walks up and down. And of course, he wants others to see them too. (The biggest show off ever)

That's right. For air con purposes. I keep telling Mr thisisme to leave it witout the door for now, see how it goes with air con and then put it on if we really need to. I personally think it will be annoying having to open/close it all the time especially when unloading the groceries
