I can have a look for my recipe if you still want one. Its a bit bland on its own, but that is what all the candy is for! I think construction gingerbread is supposed to be a bit different to gingerbread man gingerbread.

I make an edible centrepiece for my partner's family christmas each year. If you are curious here is a link to my facebook album: Darkbyte's Yearly Christmas Creations
Love it Darkbyte ...The Holy thread revival batman LOL

We found a wonderful gingerbread recipe and made gingerbread men but ended up buying the ginger house from the flemington market. I cant remember what recipe we used but it could have been from savelakealbert's taste link

Now off to look at your creations and start thinking about christmas again

(Shameless plug here sorry)

Chefs Toolbox have a great gingerbread recipe http://austnz.chefstoolbox.com/tabid...ead-House.aspx and you can purchase the silicone House http://austnz.chefstoolbox.com/TabId.../Bakeware.aspx
from me. It is also awesome as a chocolate house so can be used at Easter and Christmas too.

Thats pretty good, it would work well with a chocolate crackle mix (melted choc + rice bubble), or a chocolate and smashed oreo mix.

Thought I would share pics of my pink chocolate house (using my gingerbread house mould) made as a raffle prize for a girls night in event on Friday night.

How did I miss this update?? OMG they are amazing!

Holy thread revival x2. Im getting good at this *ducks*

P.S. I used lebkuchen instead of gingerbread last year. The spicyness of the chilli went really well with all the sugar that was glued on top. Im going to move to this recipe from now on.

Lebkuchen

Ingredients:
115g unsalted butter, softened
115g caster sugar
1 large egg, beaten
115g black treacle
400g self raising flour
1 tsp. ground ginger
½ tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. ground chilli

Method:
1. Cream together the butter and the sugar until it is pale and fluffy.
2. Bean in the egg and black treacle
3. Sift the flour, ginger, cloves and chilli into the bowl and mix well.
4. Knead the dough gently and wrap in cling film. Chill for 30 minutes.
5. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (160 degrees Celsius fan forced)
6. Roll out your dough and cut around your pre-made templates.
7. Place each piece of cut dough on a lined baking tray and bake for 8-10 minutes

It made enough to make two small/medium houses
