Default Garden Mirror

Thought I would run this pass you all & get some feedback that I am sure will be helpful. We already have a large outdoor mirror in our back courtyard (which looks fantastic!) & now want to do something similar out the front of our town house.

At the side of the front door we have a metal grill that until very recently was helped by a creeper to hide the view. I have attached a photo showing this. The creeper has now become terminally ill ... see attachment ... & I am considering the last attachment as a possibility. The manufacturer is on the east coast but hopefully we can work around that. What do you think?

I love the idea Diablo, would you need to worry about the weight of the mirror and the possibilty of it breaking if the gate gets closed to strongly....if these things are not issues, I love it.

I had a neighbour when I lived in a unit, who had mirrors in her back courtyard, and they looked awesome!

Default Garden Mirror - Next Episode

Help ... I need some advise! The garden mirror that I have fallen in love with ( see photo in first post) ONLY comes in a 630mm x 1230mm size & I am posting below the suggestion I received by the supplier to cover the whole area of 1625x920. I am quite keen on this idea but would welcome suggestions in particular in regard to colour.

Resizing that mirror is costly and those dimensions would mean that design would no longer work. Its based on equal squares..
I did think though..
Would you consider getting your local hardeware store to cut and deliver you a piece of exterior board like 'blue board sheeting' This is an outdoor sheet used by landscapers to create walls. You could fix this sheet onto that plain iron you have in that space, then simply attach the mirror directly onto that sheeting, center mounted.
You would need to paint the sheeting before you mounted the mirror but this could be done with a weathershield style paint so you dont have to undercoat it.
You could use a lovely colour to complement the mirror and create your own boarder using the mounting board. That would completely cover that whole side view area as you need it to.

Hi Diablo is the mirror going to be the same style mirror like the one you posted in the third picture?
I am thinking of a black colour to complement the mirror and your little table setting

Diablo, with all that in mind would it be as cheap and easy to just replace the gate with the one in the picture....Just a thought that all that work and running around might equal the cost of the whole gate.
