Hi Julie-Ann,
If you are looking for something big and dramatic and lets the mess melt into the background. Plus it's not hidden by the desk you can get murals that come in longer and thinner sizes. It is easy to see this with the 3 city sky line versions here.

Some nice wall decals there Lanne.

Is this too funky for Mr17?

Click the image to open in full size.

It's more of a very dark charcoal than black and has a bit of a sheen and sparkle to it.

Oh I like the wallpaper Silk Interiors. We have had such a busy weekend that I still haven't had a chance to show Mr17 all your ideas. Maybe when his friends leave tonight.
Milena I don't think the magic lasted. I fear the room has returned to a state of disrepair- well I know the bed wasn't made. We will definitely have to invite Elements over next weekend and pull out the whip again.

I finally got Mr17 to sit down and look at all your great ideas. He really loved this mural that Decorheaven sent. His only concern is the desk will cover all of the bottom half of the left hand side of the mural. It should sit just under the bridge. He is concerned this will ruin the look of the mural. It is stunning isn't it? What do you think?
The other idea I suggested was to use blackboard paint. I have been itching to do this and Katrina's post on A Very Fine House made me think to suggest it. So his lordship is looking for ideas on whether to do the whole wall or just a part above the desk. If it is just a part above the desk then should we put a frame around it or tape it off to get a clean line? He would appreciate any pictures for suggestions.
My only concern with the blackboard is his handwriting is so incredibly messy- my eyes will hurt when ever I go in the room. I can see myself rubbing it out and doing it neatly for him- not that I am a control freak or anything.

I loove the skyline its stunning and masculine and I suppose my only thought on the blackboards that they always look messy if they are always changing....and the smudge marks of dusting old stuff down is too much for me to handle....so if the blackboard is going to happen how about a framed black board that you can take off the wall if you don't love it later.....that is just my own blackboard issues
......and There is nothing wrong with being a control freak.
