Default Feature wall decal/mural/wallpaper

I am looking for a wall decal or mural or wallpaper to use as a feature wall in Mr17's new office. We are going to paint the walls white and his desk and bookcases are black/brown. So the room colours will be primarily black and white with a bright colour (probably blue as yellow is impossible to find) splashed around in some accessories. So I would like the wall feature to be primarily black and white. Something to suit a stylish young man - so no soccer themes allowed.
I would love any suggestions as I have been looking around and not found anything just right.

Julie-Ann, have you tried looking for a Ralph Lauren (ish) wallpaper in black and white, maybe one feature wall of this would look gorgeous.

Grins.. yellow is not impossible but i feel your pain.

I still like the city idea..

I think blik is likely to have something but you will need to use something like comgateway.com to purchase. I LOVE my stuff from there tho and it is cooler. I think it should be something He likes.. with style which wont always be what you would think you wanted.

Lol so many fantastic decals Lanne thanks. Yes I will let him choose as long as it is not soccer related. I think one room as a shrine to soccer is enough. Time for him to expand his taste.
We both love the city skyline one too but we would love to find one that is bigger and higher. The desk will only cover 2/3rds of the wall so we were looking for a skyline that would go to the floor.
I have looked everywhere for yellow files, storage boxes for Expedit bookcase and an in-tray. No luck anywhere.

I would be inclined to run the city along the desk... and leave it at that.. I hadn't thought about something going all over the wall. We have birch trees in the media room that run floor to ceiling....

I have this in grey and didnt add any branches or birds.. i like it better as just the trunks..

I have it in grey... but they have a huge range of colours. Everyone likes it from kids to the grandmas. I did it to match one of our brands business cards..

My only concern with putting the city skyline above the desk is - with all the mess a 17 year old boy makes you won't see it. I think we need something bigger and dramatic so hopefully you only see that and not that chaos around you. For all of you without teenagers you will see - the mess is so depressing. But you can only nag so much. And when they are teenagers you need to choose your battles in order to keep winning the war.
Thank god Milena is coming for lunch tomorrow and I have been able to enforce the tidy up we are having important visitors who will look in your room. Maybe I just need to have those type of visitors every week. Ok- who is up for popping over for a visit next weekend?

How about this as an idea. Visual thinking caps on please......use this image as ispiration only....
Click the image to open in full size.

Get Mr 17 to come up with his own motivating words and create a horizontal bus scroll type canvas that will fill the wall above his desk. YOu could use words such as remember the goal, stand up and stretch, eat more chocolate....ok these are all about me. But he could pick his own and create his own motivational bus scroll inpsired study mood board.
Just another idea.....My hands up for next weekend.

Love it. Have you ever seen a horizontal style one? I think he will especially love the "Eat more chocolate part".

I will run all these ideas past him. Thanks
Great so next Saturday I will let him know Kristie will be inspecting his room

I haven't seen a horizontal one...So it will be completely unique to him...
I am thinking you could just do it on the computer and then get it blown up to what ever size you like or you could paint a big piece of horizontal ply and then order the lettering in all the different sizes maybe and then laquer. So it may not be something you could just purchase...sorry I am creating more work for you all.
