Default Decal tree - help

Howdee,
We have finally bought a home so my mind is racing with 1000's of ideas for decorating it!! I am going to have the most fun in the kids rooms and have decided on a birdie theme for Miss 2 after I saw this blog post and fell in love!
I have been buying all kinds of bird houses ready but want to use a decal tree to save on hand painting (too tricky for me) and was wondering if anyone has any tips on places to buy on from? or tips on what to think about when buying one??

Giggles, Amy

HI Amy,

Do you want it to wind around the roof similar to the one in the post, as you will have trouble getting a decal to stay put if it has been bent around like that.

I have some trees online, but have never ever seen anything like that one in a decal.

PS: I got your email will catch up tomorrow

this one is a bit on the expensive side, but the tree is 200cm x 200cm.

I found this one on ebay. But the sale ends around 7pm tonight.

They usually relist as they have bulk stock. You can also choose any colour you like and they are cheap. I've bought from them a few times. Like this butterfly one I have on my cupboard next to my desk.

Sorry Giggle, but if I was on a tight budget I would choose them.

It probably costs them very little to make them, where I think, and don't quote me on this, some Australian companies (not indicating yours) may have to charge more, because it costs more, because they might be importing them from overseas.

I think its more that they work for very little money. A decent vinyl plotter starts from $2,000 and a digital vinyl printer from $5,000 and you cannot buy a decent long lasting vinyl roll for less than $200, so how they can make them that big, that cheap and with free postage is beyond me.

The other issue is when looking on ebay is alot of designs have been copied, so where the reputable companies pay graphic designers to illustrate & design and probly also have to pay a license fee to use the designs, the companies from China & Hong Kong simply go in and copy the designs and trying to enforce the copyright is almost impossible when dealing with these countries.

Anyway Amy sorry for hyjacking your thread, just having some issues myself with an Asian site stealing images off my site so its a raw nerve with me at the moment lol

Geez, I hope I haven't bought from them. I mean, some of the ebay sellers wouldn't necessarily use their company names, probably for this reason.

Makes me think twice about ordering from them.

I guess with the prices from Australia, I won't be ordering any more decals. Not until I win the lotto that is lol
