Default Curtain headings

What type of pleat do you you think is contemporary but not overly modern or likely to date?

Box Pleat, Evo Pleat , Ripple Pleat, Reverse Pleat or Eylettes Scroll

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I am hanging on everyword of your posts TIM as I am thinking cutains too. I don't think though that I will be able to afford more than blinds though but its nice to dream..

I did get many blinds on clearance recently but I have some large 2700 windows in open living area that you couldn't get ready mades for.

Rosie, I know what you mean
When she gave me an estimate per window (which didn't even include the motorised track!) I almost fainted

So... what I've decided is we will get Mr Thisisme's mum to make them for us. Even if it means it will take one month per window - I will be happy.

All I know is ripplefolds are more expensive than pinch pleat.

Ripplefolds look gorgeous, but they are the flavour of the moment, and who knows how long it will last.

I don't think you can go past the inverted pleat (here I go again!). It creates a classic line, but at the same time is seriously u.n.o.b.trusive. I love the ripple pleat, but I think it is more suited to a more romantic, feminine space than contemporary living areas, if you get my drift.

The prices are slightly insane, aren't they?!

Thanks Cherylle

Any idea how much more expensive it is? $2-3 per linear metre or a LOT more?

They are indeed

And we've got 10 huge windows and a massive sliding door that need to be done (excluding the laundry, bathroom and powder rooms).

*faints all over again*

We will have to take baby steps and only do one window at a time...

Its crazy isn't it, the part we all look so forward to, the dressing of our homes, curtains, rugs, pillows etc, it is all so expensive & at the wrong end of the projects budget. I love the curtains with the large eyelets that the rod goes thru(sorry for my terminology) I think they look rather contemporary & are oftena reasonable price.
Ahhh the choices
Good Luck!!

I don't know much about curtains (I'm learning from all of these posts) but from the pics you have posted, my favourite is the ripple pleat.
