Default Couch 2 5km Programme

I've started the C25k programme this morning. I sadly really need to.
Anyone want to join me? We can motivate each other.
All you have to do is 25 mins of jogging and walking 3 times a week. You can see the programme here.

I'll be starting the C25k next week JA in conjunction with the 12 week challenge I'm doing. I'll have to up the fitness, so plan to do this as well as my boot camp training sessions.

So you did week 1 this morning? How'd you find it? Last time I did the program I got up to week 6, so I'm determined to complete it this time!

Hi UG so great to see you. Wow you are going to wilt away doing both the boot camp and the C25K.
I sadly only lasted 1 week last time. But I am determined to do better this time. I did Week 1 this morning with no problems. I did a coupl of 30min walks late last week to build up to it. I have had a terrible cold that got into my chest. So I had to be careful to not overdo it to soon.
So I have been cooking healthy food, doing C25K - next is to reduce the wine. What we do for good health and a decent figure.
Are you eating healthy as well as the exercise UG?

I live in hope! lol

Yes, the 12 week challenge is a strict diet plan, no carbs, no sugar and alot of protein. Yikes. Hopefully I can stick to it.

Well darl, we can check in with each other. I hope to start week 1 of the c25k next Tuesday. I found week 1 pretty easy since I do a little bit of cardio during my boot camp sessions. Not that I'm anywhere near capable of running 5kms at the moment!

Sorry to hear you've not been well

Good luck girls...........I am sure with Spring coming we will all join in..

I have been watching what I eat for about 1 mth now, no little extras, except on special occassions and eating same foods as my family but smaller portions... It has been great and for some reason really easy... I think it was because there was a few weeks where we ate so much junk food as we were so busy that it started literally making us feel ill...

So far have lost 1.5kgs but no luck on getting any exercise in. Like you J-A have had quite bad cold/virus and so will try to start soon...

I had started this a few months ago. I made it to Week 5 (20 minute run) and was really proud of myself and was actually enjoying it (for a change). Then I injured myself, ended up with a chest infection and then fell pregnant. It was all over red rover for me. I do plan on starting it again once I have the bub and can function again.

Good luck J-A! Keep to it, you will enjoy it. One way I kept myself motivated was to update my status on Facebook after I completed each week. This way I felt like I had to do it when I was reporting it to all my family and friends. My husband also promised me a gift if I finished it, unfortunately that never happened

Congratulations nqmummy! I fell pregnant before finishing the C25k too. I started again but haven't been able to find the time to myself on a regular basis.

Good luck J-A, it's a great programme. I have been really slack with my running, need to get back into it. Have also bought Jillian Michaels 30 day shred DVD - haven't started it yet but must do so soon!!

Nqmummy & Rachel I am thinking there is a trend happening here. Maybe I had better stop before I get pregnant. As if that would happen at this age.
Judydg you can always join me and start this week. We only have to do 3 days a week.
I agree about making it public Nqmummy. That's why I thought I would tell you all. Feel free to nag me and make me feel guilty if I quit.
