Cleaning Chrome finished furniture

I tried to clean a drawer unit that Mr17 has in his study but with no success. It is a painted satin chrome type finish. It had lots of finger marks all over it. I used some Spray and Wipe with a handy towel. That removed the dust but not the finger marks. It also now has left some lovely streak marks as well

.
Any ideas on how to clean this and remove the finger marks and streaks?

Not sure if this will work but I use windex on a terry nappy to clean my door handles, tall mixer taps and the silver buttons on the toilet. It takes all the marks off. I also wipe over the slide out range hood with it too.

Maybe try it on the back of the unit and see if it works

Oh thanks heaps TTD- I will give it a whirl tomorrow

. At the moment he has strategically hidden the marks with magnetic calendars from Politicians- very strange child

Hi JA,

I use methylated spirits (just a dash!) in a spray bottle of water on all my windows, floors, glass, taps and chrome and comes up a treat! I also use an old linen T-towel for a dust free finish too. I haven't bought a bottle of Windex for years!

I agree with TTD wholeheartedly and always test patch first!
