Default Christmas Table Centerpiece

This is the easiest DIY Project ever. Even those of your craft challenged could do this one. This would look perfect on a fireplace mantle, a coffee table or the centerpiece for your Christmas table.

Take 4 crystal or glass candle holders of various heights.
4 Christmas Ball ornaments.
Glitte glue pen.
Write a letter to spell out a Christmas message like Noel or Joy on the Christmas balls.

Click the image to open in full size.

Too easy

So I ducked out to Spotlight and picked up some bits and pieces including an additional candelstick to make this centrepiece.

So I'll have two silver (from Ikea ... which I already had) and one glass (from Spotlight today) candlestick. I've bought a couple of big apple/lime green baubles and some glitter paint to write on the baubles.

Also bought some apple/lime green material and some silvery sheer material which I plan to use down the centre of the table over the white tablecloth.

Once made ... I'll post a pic.

I was thinking maybe you need to put the letter on both sides of the Christmas ball. So it won't be plain on the other side of the table. What do you think?
Are you going to add some other decorations on the table too? I was also thinking of adding gold scatter stars.
Do you get white glitter pens? I was going to use gold balls.

Yes you can get white glitter pens ... I was thinking of scattering either some silvery or green/lime confetti type bits along the table runner.

I was also going to write on both sides of the baubles for the reason you mention ... needs to work from both sides of the table ... I will be writing JOY with them. Will probably need a 'dob' of blutac to hold them in place on the candelsticks tho'

Well the first attempt of writing on the baubles was an utter disaster !!!! The sparkly gel paint oozed too much (I'm sure it wasn't the operator) and I couldn't get the lovely curved lines I was after.

So .... I headed out to Spotlight ... had to buy some more baubles and then purchased 'rhinestones' to use for the writing.

It's getting a little dark so the pic's aren't great, but you get the idea!

Also bought a lovely reindeer today ... !!

I was worried that might happen with the glitter. But what a great solution with the rhinestones. Did they self stick or did you use glue?
The reindeer is fantastic. So elegant. Did it come from Spotlight too?
