The cold is fine if you rug up - everywhere is centrally heated. Do a canal tour (stay inside the boat not near an open window at this time of the year
) - it is really interesting and beautiful. I did Ann Frank's house years ago but now the queues are so long
. But it is very worthwhile. The flower market is beautiful. Eat poffertjes - very yummy. If you like Satay they have lots of fabulous Indonesian restaurants. Basically when you are away from the red light district is a completely different city. Enjoy
