Christmas Decorations Colours
What colour do you do your Christmas decorations? Not just for your tree but including any other decorations you do around the home.
Our decorations are all white and gold. I would prefer to do white and silver but there are too many of our gold ornaments that I don't want to change. Apart from the tree we decorate the coffee and side table in the Family room, the dining table and the upstand in the kitchen.
I do like the bright colours available - especially the teal and bright green around.

I tend to have a little change each year, this time I have silver, pale blue & white & i am really happy with it. I have the tree in the loungeroom, a side table in the family room & my dining table all decorated. I will have to get some photos up on my blog to share them.
merry xmas!!!

That sounds such a lovely combination Trish. Let us know here when you put the pictures up on the blog.
I was going to take some pictures of my decorations but today is so dark we have to have lights on throughout the house. Is this summer ???

I have inky navy blue, silver, gold and a little bit of white. I bought some lovely navy striped ornaments last year from Target so I just worked with that. Next year I think I'll try something a little bit more out there.
My favourite decorations though are these little gold Indian bells I bought from the World Vision shop - they are really pretty, and the money went to a good cause as well!

I got anew tree and decorations last year, they are silver, white and red. We have all this gaudy ceramic stuff my in- laws made that I didn't want to put out but my 9 yr old daughter decided she was decorating this year. As this will probably be her last believing in Santa Christmas I decided I had to stop being a control freak. So our family room is full of random decorations! Our house is such a mess anyway I don't really care- but just wait until the first Xmas in our new house - god help anyone who interferes with my decorations then!!

Sometimes we just have to let the kids have their fun . If DD still wants to help do the tree next year maybe you can do what I used to do with DH. We had 2 trees. One was perfectly interior decorated . And the other DS decorated. We had the best of both worlds.

I decided to go with a silver theme this year as opposed to the red and gold. I got some balls in silver with some pale blue and a deeper blue, like a deep silvery blue. It needs a little "something" to finish it off. We still have the gold star for the top which I am going to spray paint silver unless I can find one cheap somewhere this afternoon.
I'll still be using the gold and red things elsewhere though.
Pic to follow later

I change every year. I bought a set of basic gold baubles.. but have a lot of silver. I then buy whatever colour pleases me. We have had red and brown.. (with some gold baubles). we have had teal blues and silver.. we have had green and silver.. this year it is WHITE..white and more white.. with silver/gray accents.. i am kinda in love with it.
It feels simple and easy and clean and not clutter.. which is exactly the kinda christmas i want this year.
