Choosing a New Washing Machine

something we will be going in the new year,as ours decided to die about 1 week ago so have been taking to laundry mat and my mum has been doing some of it at her house

One of the companies that I have been annoying today just emailed me this. It shows where the washing machines have been made -

One lady told me to look at Hoover too, my old top loader was a Hoover. Apparently they are made in Italy and offer extra warranty (8% of cost price) for extra 3 years so 6 years all up....this is not an easy job Is it normal to be so sad about losing an appliance??
