I hadnt seen the engagement photos . (unusual as I often do catch that sort of thing being in the industry).. whilst the photos are lovely they kind of show the lack of genuine-ness that i get from them.. as people.

The hourly rate thing was put in place by channel 9 for a very good reason. does anyone remember in the first block where one couple .. possibly even the winning couple? had the landscape guys come through for next to nothing for the chance to wear their T'shirts and be splashed all over the place? That business did very very well out of it and their exposure and marketing was worth far more than the job.. unfortunately other companies had paid big money to be official sponsors and in a show that is basically one big subliminal ad.. it was a problem. Hence the min hourly rate...

It is a rule. Just like dont work between 10 - 4...
or.. no power tools after 1pm on saturday.

I dont care who you are or what your own cir***stances are.. if you go on a show and agree to play... what is effectively a game.. then follow the rules.

Erin and Jake have the clearest design emerging and whilst it wont appeal accross the board their's will be a great apartmen.. but they are cheating/have cheated and should have been disqualified from winning that room for that reason.

ps. the twin thing is just creepy and immature.
pps. Chez is annnoying and lazy.

You are right Lanne rules are rules and if you agree to play the game you need to stick to the rules. It's surprising that the producers have allowed rules to be broken without consequences. I guess they think it makes good television.
I sure hope the silly cricket is over this week.

Hear, hear on your entire post, Lanne.

And especially on the twin thing - it makes me nauseous!!!

I think the producers let the rules be broken because it does make for TV.. it adds drama..

what they will do is edit accordingly.. (notice we never saw their tiler/bathroom guy at work) and then... disqualify them (next week (and this time after the cricket).. meaning the outcome is not affected.. but.. we have the drama and something to talk about. From our point of view the rules could have been followed.

So what do you all think aboust last night? J & E are just liars- how could you keep on lying like that even if you got caught? Very sneaky indeed. However I love their lounge room I was so looking forward to the lounge reveals but except for theirs I was very disappointed.

What a show Louh. They so deserved to be disqualified. Their behaviour was appalling - I hope they feel very embarrassed this morning. It is a pity they still get to keep the room as it is because it was so good it will only help them to win the show. I wasn't impressed by the other lounge rooms either.

What annoys me is how Chez and her partner also "cheated" why were not disqualified? They had a "friend" stay and help longer than what he was supposed to in a previous episode. Just my opinion for what it is worth. Didn't think much of the winning room.
