Default Bedside tables: FINALLY!

After months and months of searching online everywhere I have managed to secure matching bedside tables in the shape/size that I have been after. I am so so happy

Bought off ebay tonight, don't let the paintwork scare you as I am going to paint them white. It has been so hard to find a matching pair like this and to top it off I got them for $120 less than what I was prepared to pay. The listing sat at $142.50 all day, I won them at $170.00 so very happy with that price.

Just hope the dimensions that were on the listing are correct otherwise they won't fit.

WooHoo!!!

They are absolutely gorgeous TTD!!! Congratulations! Can't wait to see them white...although the paintwork doesn't really scare me at all, charming as they are!

Are you keeping the same handles or do you have something else in mind?

Gorgeous!!! Can't wait to see them in your room!

Thanks Rosierose, glad I have your approval!! Yes very happy with the price, I thought they would go for well over $200 after watching so many auctions or single pieces. I am just so happy that I have 2 of them.

Lol Stormy, the flowers and yellow/pastels just aren't me. I can see one of my old shabby friend's from Vermont loving the paintwork

So you think white?? I'm thinking white.... I lost sleep last night over wanting these and then stressing over the colour. I'm thinking white bedsides and a bed with beige headboard and white timber edging. I'd love some big oversized lamps for the tables and maybe some big mirrors behind them. Still googling for inspiration (read that as help....)

Absolutely perfect TTD. Yes I would do them white with your taupe/beige headboard. Are you thinking crystal handles?
Let us know when you are ready for the lamps and mirrors and we can have a hunt around. Do you have any images of something similar?

Thanks Julie-Ann I like the oversized lamps that I've seen on some blogs etc. My room is quite big just over 6m long and 4.5m wide so I'll see. First I need to paint these and find a bed which I have been looking at for ages.

Stormy, I like both the buttoned headboard and also the nailhead trim. It will depend on what I can find. I really think I could make one (although my DH smiles at me when I say that). I've only ever had a slat bed, not sure how we would go on an ensemble. I never sleep well at my Mum and Dad on the ensemble there.

As for handles, not sure yet but I don't think glass or crystal. What would you ladies suggest.
