Are you into more modern or tradition/elegant things?

I love this black bed with toile (white/cream & black) and it would be great with your cream walls:

ebay has this type of bed linen available and places like Spotlight.

You could paint the bed either black or white to break up the too much timber look.

Thankyou J-A

I love the fourth picture. I can see this style in that room. Also like the first and second picture too but I think the fourth one would be nice because its got a very warm look which i think will be good because it will give my house a bit of variation as I have a lot of black, white and grey colours in the other areas. I dont think the 3rd colour scheme would look as nice with the cream walls and timber floors, and wanted to keep away from red as it have it in my open lounge, kitchen dining and am getting sick of looking at it. :P

If I go with the style of the fourth picture do you think I need to paint the ped and sidetables dark brown or do you think it will look ok to keep them pine?

Di - I love that quilt! I think I might go with a plain white quilt though but I think I will look for something with a similar pattern to this in a rug to put on the end of the bed. thankyou.

You're welcome.

I have a plain white one and am planning to get some toile cushions like these:

How about you paint the furniture in black satin finish. Use black picture frames. Then do the linen and pictures in brown and white. Use lots of pattern to create interest. Does that sound interesting?
