Default Bathroom accessories

Hi all,

I need help choosing bathroom accessories. Our basin mixers are from the methven ovalo range and as methven don't do bathroom accessories I don't know what to do. What is the rule of thumb? Do I try and match the accessories to the mixers or does anything go?? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks
DayDreamer

Most bathroom accessories don't have matching taps, not sure why but as most accessories are chrome and come in round or square shapes you should have no probs matching them to taps....

Let me have a browse and see what I can find..

Hi DD with those taps look for bathroom accessories that have round back plates. I use Tradelink as they have a very large range. They have many more items available than what they have on display. So ask them for brochures on bathroom accessories with round backplates.
Your mixer is stunning.

Trade link actually have a couple of ranges which will go with oval tap ware, I've used the Adesso Memphis range which I think is a perfect match http://www.tradelink.com.au/product-...__750mm|113140

Hi Julie-Ann & Sooty,

It does make sense to look for round or even oval backplates.
Sooty I do like the adesso range. I think they would be perfect for our bathrooms. I'm sure I'll have the accessories sorted out this week

I'll post some pics of the bathrooms as soon as the painters move their things out of there.

Thanks again.

I want square towel rails even though our shower mixer plate is round. Meh.

If only they weren't so expensive

hi thisisme,

they look like nice solid expensive handrails!! what brand are they? I like the idea of a few towel rails on the wall like the pic above? I think they do compliment the shower mixer as the lever is squarish.

P.S i love what you have been doing with your house. Lots of great ideas. I wish I had blogged about our build...oh well next time!!

These particular ones are dcs sirocco and $280 PER rail (620cm). Eeeeeeek. Unfortunately, all other brands are priced similarly
